Friday, January 31st | Report to the Community
Meeting at 9am: Partner agencies and researchers who are working Down East will share their findings with the community beginning at 9am. Community members are welcome to come and go at their convenience throughout the day. A complete agenda of presentations will be announced closer to the meeting.
Lunch at 12pm: Friday lunch will feature a presentation where we’ll hear from other communities facing the same issues and how they are building resilience within their local regions. Community members are welcome to join us for lunch to listen and learn more about the shared traditions and common cultures of rural Louisiana and North Carolina.
Dinner Gathering at 5:30pm: Friday supper, followed by a community meeting focusing on past experiences of storm readiness, response and recovery for Down East and neighboring communities; were we ready then, are we ready now?
